What Are They?
Write & Wipe Math Cards are a math tool that you can use at math centers/stations, for independent math tubs, with a paraeducator or volunteer, or during small group instruction. This math bundle includes engaging and fun math cards for every 1st grade math standard. This bundle is perfect for on grade level first graders (or low 2nd/high-fliers in K). The cards are easy to prep, low on ink, and highly engaging!

How They Work:
You may want to laminate this resource so it can be used multiple times. You may even want to print the sheets on cardstock or bright paper (Astrobright is my personal favorite).
Students will need a dry erase marker, eraser, and magnifying glass to use this resource. Students will read the problem on the card. Then, they will solve to find the answer (and write it). Next, they will use the magnifying glass to self-check (and correct, if necessary). Finally, they will wipe off their answer and move onto the next card. I like to have different manipulatives available at this station to help them, if they wish. They can use counting bears, snap cubes, tens and ones rods, mini clocks, etc.
One bonus to this resource is the flexibility in how you use it! You can cater the cards to your students’ specific needs. If some students need additional practice with telling time, for example, set aside those cards and have students practice telling time during your small group time. Or, have those cards ready for those students to use at math centers/math tubs. It is 100% up to you!
